This new range of bilingual dictionaries, part of the INTERLEX project (partially financed by the European Union), has had the collaboration of a wide range of lexicographers and institutions such as the Alfonso X el Sabio University.
The need for human beings to communicate turns language into their main vehicle of expression. To be in command of it, its lexicon must be known and used correctly. The new Everest Bilingual Dictionaries aim to satisfy these needs in an appropriate way. The "Vértice" series, with its 40,000 carefully selected terms, contains the phonetic transcription of all the entries, explanatory glosses, subjects, examples of use with simultaneous translation, etc. Furthermore, the series has appendixes of irregular verbs, table of pronunciation, phonetic alphabet, number tables, etc. The terms and contents have been selected to solve communicative situations of whatsoever type, whether everyday conversations, holiday travel or work situations. For this reason, terms related to business and new technologies are also included.
